You definitely captured the essence of what it’s like to teach in a Middle Eastern Country. So many differences to comprehend……….the language barrier, the rules for women, the oppressive heat, the misunderstandings of the different customs, the different nationalities/backgrounds of the teachers and the varying curriculums!

I’m amazed at how you were strong enough to stay for three years and could adapt to the many changes with staffing, job descriptions, what was expected of you and the mounting mental health pressures for the teachers.

It’s a great insight into teaching in a foreign land and one that I would recommend for all female teachers contemplating this change in their careers.
